Dan McLaughlin is back by popular demand! Members can reserve a time with Dan for a small group of four at similar skill levels, or a private / semi-private lesson. He has been playing tournament pickleball since 2012. He’s played at the 4.5 and 5.0 skill level here in Michigan and around the country, including several national championships, Huntsman World Senior games, and multiple US Opens in Naples, Florida. His love for playing is only eclipsed by his love for teaching. Over the past 10 years, he has taught over 1500 people to play at all skill levels, including camps in Ludington and Pentwater with Jim Logan, a lifelong friend. This year, Dan will focus on smaller groups and individualized instruction to meet your specific needs. His goal is to see you improve while having fun. Space is limited so sign up early with your group of four, two, or individualized, private instruction. Members can opt to reserve a time for a private, semi-private session, or private small group of four at similar skill levels.

Times available for 2 to 4 players at similar skill levels: 11am – 12:30 pm / 12:30 – 2 pm / 2:15 – 3:45 pm / 4 – 5:30 pm
• Private One Hour Sessions—2026 dates TBD
Times available to arrange a private or semi-private one hour session: 6 – 7pm / 7 – 8pm

FEES PER PERSON:
Payable to the instructor via cash or check.
• 1 hour private (1 person) = $85 1 hour semi-private (2 person) = $50/each
• 1-1/2 hour group (4 people) = $30/each
• For Large groups of 8 or more the session will be two hours, and the fee will depend on the total number of players.
• There will be an additional fee assessment for non-members participating.

Pickleball Private Lessons
Brian McAuley – Independent
Professional Instructor
Brian McAuley is now in his second year of providing members of our club group and private tennis instruction. This is the first year he is offering Pickleball instruction. He’s a recent business school graduate from Butler University and the son of our long time members – Doug & Kathleen McAuley. In addition to his work for our club during the summer of 2024, Brian’s past teaching experience includes stints at Meridian Hills Country Club, the Jewish Community Center of Indianapolis, and the Indianapolis Community Tennis Center located at North Central High School where they develop some of the highest ranked players across the Midwest and nation. His past playing experience included USTA tournament competition from the age of 10; achieving a top-10 juniors tennis ranking in the State of Indiana; and being a key member of the Indiana State Champion Tennis Team at North Central High School.
Brian has a flexible schedule and is willing to work with members to accommodate their tennis instruction needs. His fee structure:
• Individual Private Lesson – $60.00 per hour.
• Group Lesson with (4) players – $15.00 per player per hour.
• Group Lesson with (4+) players – rate per person depends on number and length of lesson.
• An additional $10 daily guest fee will be charged to non-member participants for all the above.
