July 2026 Pickleball Instruction
We are excited to introduce Kirsten J. Richter (also known as Coach Ruby), who will be offering lessons at our pickleball courts on July 13 and July 14. Lessons are available each day starting at 1:00 PM, on a first-come, first-served basis.
Kirsten is a highly accomplished instructor with a wide range of credentials, including:
• PPR Pickleball Pro & RPPK
• Pickleball Director
• USA Pickleball Ambassador
• Team Selkirk Member
• Hold The Pickle, LLC
• AIM7 & Bodhi Grip Advocate
Kirsten offers a unique, student-led learning style. You can choose from the following lesson types, typically ranging from 60 to 120 minutes:
• Private Lessons: $60 per hour
• Semi-Private Lessons: $40 per person, per hour
• 3 & Me Lessons: $35 per person *
* In this format, three players of similar skill levels play with the instructor to discuss strategy, positioning and overall Pickleball IQ (students are responsible for assembling their own group of three).

Brian McAuley—Independent
Professional Instructor
Brian McAuley worked as a full-time, independent tennis and PB instructor the past two seasons at PTPC. He’ll be visiting Pentwater intermittently this summer, but he’ll be visiting more for pleasure than he will be for work this year. Members can use his contact information to contact him directly, and he might be available to schedule a session, but it will be on a more limited basis compared to previous years. He still welcomes any inquiries from members to schedule sessions that accommodate tennis instruction needs. His fee structure is listed below.
Brian is a recent business school graduate from Butler University and the son of our long time members – Doug & Kathleen McAuley. In addition to his work for our club during the summer of 2024, Brian’s past teaching experience includes stints at Meridian Hills Country Club, the Jewish Community Center of Indianapolis, and the Indianapolis Community Tennis Center located at North Central High School where they develop some of the highest ranked players across the Midwest and nation. His past playing experience included USTA tournament competition from the age of 10; achieving a top-10 juniors tennis ranking in the State of Indiana; and being a key member of the Indiana State Champion Tennis Team at North Central High School.
Brian has a flexible schedule and is willing to work with members to accommodate their tennis instruction needs. His fee structure:
• Individual Private Lesson – $60.00 per hour.
• Group Lesson with (4) players – $15.00 per player per hour.
• Group Lesson with (4+) players – rate per person depends on number and length of lesson.
• An additional $10 daily guest fee will be charged to non-member participants for all the above.
