Welcome to Pentwater Tennis & Pickleball Club
We are a private club open to members and approved guests, with a purpose to stimulate and improve tennis and pickleball activities in the Pentwater area. In addition to providing a first-class facility, we strive to promote sportsmanship and fellowship in a beautiful wooded setting. We support organized recreational play, structured tournaments for members, and encourage use of the facility to allow members and guests of all ages to learn the games, and participate in all scheduled activities.

Meet the Tennis Pro
My name is Larry Brown and I’m excited to be the tennis pro for the Pentwater Tennis & Pickleball Club. It is my goal to provide players with the opportunity to develop their skills and abilities in tennis to their fullest potential. I have run the Junior Tennis Clinic at PTPC for several years, as well as provide private tennis lessons to our members, plus adult clinics and fast feeds.
During the 2021 season, I’ll be offering Adult tennis clinics on Fridays, 11:00AM – 12:00PM: June 18 & 25, July 9, 16, 23 & 30, August 6, 13, 20 & 28. I’ll also be offering lessons on Tuesday and Thursdays: 5:00, 6:00 & 7:00PM (contact me to schedule). I’ll also be offering a Youth Tennis Clinic on Monday – Thursday: July 5, 6, 7, 8 (register here).
I’ve enjoyed over 40 years of coaching students, having had the opportunity to take a number of boys and girls teams to be conference and regional champs, and to participate in state tournaments. I’ve worked for the State of Michigan, Jackson Public Schools, Spring Arbor University, Jackson Parma Western Schools, Jackson Lumen Christi Schools, Shelby Schools. More recently, I’ve provided private lessons, weekly drill practice, and run the kids tennis camp at Lincoln Hills. I’ve been the Athletic Director for Pentwater Schools, and the JV boys Tennis Coach at Ludington Schools.
My coaching philosophy involves three primary components in the approach to the athlete: 1) Tell them, Show them, Involve them; 2) Can you trust me, Can I trust you, Are you committed, and 3) Champions on the court, Champions for Life, Learn life Lessons.
